Donations are a huge asset to both our organization AND our museum! We rely on the monetary gifts from donors to promote the programs and services we offer to our members and the general public. We use your donations to help increase an interest in our hobby and support our organization as a whole.

We have some members, individuals, and companies that donate on a monthly basis and to honor their support we would like to recognize them below.

Please feel free to make any type of donation you can afford. We welcome you to donate knives for our fundraisers/auctions or any type of knife memorabilia, magazine, tools, etc. Your help is most graciously appreciated and needed!

To: Leroy Mathews, NKCA/NKM Treasurer

Leroy,
Thank you for your letter response. I find it refreshing to know someone like you is there to try to do the best for we collectors.

I have always owned knives since being a Boy Scout. I still have my dad's long knife
from when he was a Scout. I used it when I was a Scout, oh so many years ago. I am by no means an expert. I just bought what I liked and received hand me downs from my dad.

I find it comforting to hear what you have to
say. By no means do I have the funds to do much, but I will continue to do more as my budget will allow. I also wish I lived closer to help out, but that's not to be. I am older and somewhat handicapped physically anyway.

None the less, the fact that you wrote me keeps my faith and I will gladly pay an annual amount of dues for my lifetime membership if need be. But, please keep me, and the others known as life members and contributors, on your mailing list.

Living in the progressive State of California, my knife is my hold on my humanity here. I am nearly never without
my Spyderco blade and own several, as they suit my needs best. If you watch the TV show NCIS, it is rule number 9. Just an on going bit in the show where the main character
always says you should never be without your knife.

You have my full support now that you have explained the situation and I hope you can save the Association from the law of diminishing returns.

I am at your call. I live on a pension, but any time I can
spare a few bucks, I will send it to you.

God bless you and again, I am at your service and will support your
directions. It would be a pity for the
only group that cares for us who love our knives, to go under.

I do not think knife shows are the answer. But, fund- raising certainly is. Shows are fund- raising, but
much of the advertisement that the sellers can get at the shows could be
directed to them advertising on the website or in some type of newsletter. The cost of ads is usually much less than the expense of a booth or table(s) at a knife show.
